the songs on this disc were recorded some time ago by a band named schroeder. i was the guitar player in that band. my name is nick. there were three others in the band: larry sang, michael played bass and sang, ersk played the drums and made other noises.
i have been wanting to release the material that you have on this cd for quite a long time. although the original albums that contained these songs did well in sales, courted label attention, and garnered good press, in retrospect, the original mixes didn't capture the sonic quality, energy, and talent of those in the band. i felt most responsible for this as i played a good part in the mixing of most of these original masters.
so i took it upon myself to remix & remaster the original tracks from the original material. it took some time to have the work digitized and for me to settle on a studio setup that would do the job. all bass, drum and vocal tracks are original, and the only new guitar tracks on this disc are those that were lost in their original digital form.
schroeder was a great band. we had a great time, collection of songs, following, and sound. our fans still contact me on occasion and the music is something, even after being fortunate enough to have a successful career outside of music, that i am very proud of, even to this day.
